When guests at The Breakers Resort on the Myrtle Beach oceanfront are in the mood for live music, they won’t have to go far to scratch the itch — thanks to a new entertainment venue located right on the beach, just steps from the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and less than half a mile down Ocean Boulevard from the resort.

Boasting the tagline “A Live Music Joint” and vowing to be a place “Where Everybody Is Somebody,” Tin Roof Myrtle Beach is the latest in a chain of 15 Tin Roof entertainment venues based in the “Music City” of Nashville, Tennessee, and located throughout the United States (with a primary focus on the Southeast). The new Myrtle Beach location is bringing local, regional and national acts to the stage in its live-music room nightly from 6 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., and on weekends, the action gets started even earlier (at 2 p.m. on Saturdays and 10 a.m. on Sundays).

Offering a small sampling of the musical acts on tap, The Roof’s summer entertainment calendar features Texas band The Spazmatics and their “Ultimate New Wave 80s Show,” Larger Than Life and their “Ultimate Boy Band Tribute” show, Knox Hamilton’s Beach Boy Tour (presenting a special free show in Myrtle Beach) — and far too many more exciting acts and events to list here.

For those looking to bust some moves on the dance floor, live DJs also spin tunes in Tin Roof’s separate Green Room nightly starting at 10 p.m. And when revelers want to take a break from all the action, an open-air patio situated between the live-music room and the Green Room provides ocean breezes and views of the Atlantic Ocean from the venue’s lofty third-floor perch

When hunger sets in, Tin Roof’s kitchen serves up a full menu of Southern-inspired, made-from-scratch “Better Than Bar Food” items such as Nashville Hot Chicken (buttermilk fried chicken rubbed with cayenne and served on Texas Toast with ranch potato salad and pickles); Dixie Biscuits (fried biscuit sliders with smoked brisket, bacon, peach jam & cheddar cheese); and the Smashville burger topped with barbecue pulled pork, bacon and slaw. Other menu options include a range of tacos, quesadillas, sandwiches and salads.

Of course, for guests looking to quench their thirst, the Tin Roof bar serves a long list of beers, mixed drinks, wines and 32-ounce “Beach Bucket” cocktails, and Happy Hour brings drink specials from 4 to 7 p.m. on weeknights.
