Guests at The Breakers Resort will notice some exciting changes in 2018 at the resort’s Myrtle Beach oceanfront property. A number of renovations and additions are nearing completion, and they’re sure to wow guests during their Grand Strand getaways in the coming year. New Lobby/Registration Building – The resort’s Seaside Building will be taken down and replaced with a beautiful new registration building, lobby and more to welcome Breakers guests. The new building will house an all-new check-in desk and lobby with vaulted ceilings and a modern feel to get guests’ getaways started in style. The building will also centralize the Breakers management team in a new office area close to the resort’s communications center, helping to better serve guests.
5 New Waterslides – Sure to create a splash among resort guests, the new building will also feature five new two- and three-story waterslides on its oceanfront side. Further, an overhead roof and roll-up doors for the slide facility will allow for wet and wild fun no matter what the weather brings. The new building and waterslide facility are set to open in the May 2019.
Palms Tower Renovation – Next door to the Seaside Building at the Palms Tower, a complete, nearly $5 million renovation of all rooms, hallways and common areas is in the works and set for completion in April. The updated suites will feature modern design and amenities, including smart touches like built-in nightstand charging stations and all-new décor. The Palms Tower lobby will also be all new this spring, and new features will include a gift shop where guests can pick up beach necessities and souvenirs.
A new fitness center will feature cardio and multi-gym equipment, all with an updated feel and layout. For our younger guests, an all-new Kid’s Club room called will feature fun and exciting décor, activity stations to host a range of arts & crafts projects.
