The Breakers Resort in Myrtle Beach is heating up for the summer already! We’re getting ready for another stellar season, starting with free, live entertainment just about every day, all summer long.
The Red Parrot Oceanfront Bar and Grill will be one great spot to find fun. The Red Parrot will be open from 11 a.m. until late every night, with the kitchen open until 10 p.m. and happy hour specials running from 4 to 7 p.m. daily.
During the month of May, catch live music Friday and Saturday nights at The Red Parrot with Laidback Larry’s take on “trop rock” music, from Jimmy Buffett to John Prine, Bob Dylan and Van Morrison, from 7 to 11 p.m. On Saturdays, Craig Oden will perform, bringing his acoustic guitar take on classics.
Beginning in June, the live music shows at The Red Parrot will expand, running from Wednesday nights through Saturdays from 7 to 11 p.m. each night. Look for Craig Oden on Wednesdays and Saturdays and Laidback Larry on Fridays. The Bil Krauss Show will also take the stage on Thursdays. Bil’s interactive show brings a comedic, improvisational element, with audience participation adding an element of fun and surprise. Bil often makes up songs on the spot, incorporating the names of members of the crowd, even the towns they’re visiting from! The Breakers Resort will also bring a life DJ poolside daily from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. during the summer.
And if you’re a bite to eat, we’ve got that taken care of, too. Papa’s Restaurant will be open from 6 to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday and until noon on weekends. There are also plans in the works to open Papa’s for dinner this summer, so be sure to check back when you’re here for the most up-to-date hours of operation.
Staying in the Boutique Tower at The Breakers Resort? Our tiki bar, Hide-a-Waves, is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturdays in May; every day from June through August; and Friday and Saturdays in September.
There’s so much fun and “laidback” entertainment waiting for you at The Breakers Resort … come see us soon! Summer’s calling!
