Myrtle Beach Sports Center

The vision for recreation sports in Myrtle Beach is coming to fruition. The Myrtle Beach Sports Center is the indoor sports complex that downtown Myrtle Beach has been waiting for. Hosting large youth tournaments and leagues for many indoor sports in the area, this state-of-the-art facility is the leading venue for any sporting attraction coming to the area. The Myrtle Beach Sports Center is a spectacle like no other in the area, amassing a whopping 100,000 square feet. Almost three-fourths of the complex is hardwood floor. The indoor facility has 8 regulation size basketball courts and 16 regulation size volleyball courts. The complex is built to host wrestling, gymnastics, and many more indoor sporting activities. Trade shows can be held there as well. Other features of the Sports Center include 7 team rooms, telescopic bleachers, a private viewing box above the courts, and a snack bar with indoor and outdoor seating. Located only a couple blocks from the ocean itself, the Myrtle Beach Sports Center is in the heart of everything going on. From restaurants to eat at in between games, to other amusement activities to participate in after all competitions are done for the day, there is plenty for everyone to do. If the family needs something fun to do at night there is Captain Hook’s Adventure Golf right down the street. Hotels are all along Ocean Boulevard, so families have plenty of places to stay when they visit. Visiting the Myrtle Beach Sports Center entails much more than just watching a sporting event inside. Even though the Sports Center has only been open since March, its popularity has already taken off. It will be host to many national youth tournaments this summer and plenty of other events. On days where there is nothing going on at the complex, they hold open gym for anyone in the area wanting to play basketball. So the only place to get stuck inside while your at Myrtle Beach, is the Sports Center!
