Dancing with the Celts

For one night only, Dancing with the Celts will be performing at Calvin Gilmore’s Carolina Opry. From the creator of the very successful national PBS Pledge show, Christmas with the Celts, Dancing with the Celts is now in its 10th years of touring. Featuring the brilliantly talented lead Irish dancer Melanie Valdes, the current world champion who was held the highly-coveted All Ireland World Championship title for 6 years in a row, and the fiery Irish dance troupe.

The music is provided by an all-star roster of Irish musicians, such as All Ireland uilleann piper, Fiachra O’Regan from Connemara Ireland and Maggie Lander, the award-winning Irish singer and fiddler. The Celts have performed in concert halls like The Ryman Auditorium, The Grand Ole Opry, The Lincoln Center, and major performing arts centers and theaters across the country, sharing the rich story of the Irish journey to America with electrifying dance, lively Irish music, captivating storytelling, whimsical Irish humor, heart-wrenching ballads, and an enchanting multimedia presentation.
