The good news for guests at The Breakers Resort is that you don't have to travel very far to find your little slice of paradise. The on-site Tiki Bar, located on The Breakers' pool deck, is the perfect place to enjoy a cold drink while you enjoy all the oceanfront amenities. The Rusty Reel Bar & Grill gives you a nice spot to grab lunch and drinks indoors.

* Bummz Beach Cafe: Located right next door to The Breakers is a small beach house that is almost hidden among the rows of high-rise hotels on the downtown oceanfront. But for those lucky enough to find it, Bummz provides an oasis for the party crowd. The backyard has beach chairs and a large lawn where you can play games and order drinks, and an outdoor stage offers live music six days and nights a week. Bummz also serves excellent burgers and sandwiches for those who need more than a little liquid refreshment.
* LandShark Bar & Grill: Named after Caribbean/country crooner Jimmy Buffett's own brand of beer, this downtown watering hole offers some of the best views in town. Not only can you sit outside on the beachfront pool deck and enjoy some of Buffett's famous line of frozen drinks, but LandShark Bar & Grill is also located at the base of the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel, where you can see the ocean and the entire city from atop the 190-foot pinnacle. This is a great place to start and finish a downtown pub crawl.
* Ocean Annie's: This popular spot requires a short drive, unless you are lucky enough to cross Singleton Swash at low tide. But after a few drinks and some dancing on the pool deck, you will need to call a cab or find a sober driver. This place is worth the trouble, with live bands playing poolside and patrons dancing on the beach, on the deck and even in the pools. It’s located in the Arcadian Shores section of Myrtle Beach, so you can stop at Restaurant Row for dinner on the way home.
* Pier View Open Air Bar (atop the Second Avenue Pier): Patrons may feel like they are on top of the world at this beach bar, but they are really only three stories up atop the pier and restaurant. This crow's nest has cozy outdoor furniture like couches and easy chairs, and the breeze and view are incredible. Best of all, a small bar serves patrons both indoors and out with a wide selection of frozen drinks and bar-food favorites.
* St. Clement's Beach Bar & Grill: If you are looking to escape the crowds, this small beach bar has it all. Grab a bar stool or table and enjoy the view of the ocean, or sneak upstairs to the rooftop deck for some relaxation. Serving a wide variety of frozen drinks, cold beer and creative cocktail concoctions, St. Clement’s is a nice little spot where locals often hang out to avoid the tourists, but you will find plenty of friendly folks and conversation.
