Get ready to take seaside dining and nightlife to the next level at the latest hot spot in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Overlooking the beautiful Atlantic Ocean, RipTydz Oceanfront Grille & Rooftop Bar rolls out the food, drinks and good times in a laid-back atmosphere that is sure to revolutionize fine dining and beachfront partying on the Grand Strand.

Located in the heart of the downtown district at the northernmost point of the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, RipTydz is only a short stroll down the beach from The Breakers Resort. RipTydz opened its doors in August after a closely watched summer construction process that had would-be customers licking their chops to check out the futuristic-looking facility.

The unique, three-story structure features floor-to-ceiling windows in nearly every direction, as well as an open-air rooftop, so patrons can experience the spectacular ocean views and sea breeze while also enjoying the creative cuisine and cocktails on the menu. RipTydz offers an extensive dining lineup filled with can't-miss selections for lunch, dinner, late-night snacks and libations.

To start your meal, the Beachside Starters appetizer offerings boast variety and creativity that go well beyond the typical “nachos and wings” lineup, such as the Smoked Gouda Chicken Egg Rolls, Southern Fried Pickle Skewers and the house special Rip 'N Shrimp in a sweet chili aioli. But try not to fill up too soon, because RipTydz's main menu is packed with tasty surf-and-turf options.

The Seafood Towers and Sea Steamers allow fresh seafood lovers to feast on virtually every aquatic creature — oysters, shrimp, clams, crab legs, calamari, mussels, lobsters and more. Pick your favorite combination, then have it steamed and served with your choice of RipTydz's special sauces — Cilantro Lime, Rosemary Herb, Traditional Lemon, Casino Butter or Chesapeake Bay.

RipTydz also offers a broad selection of seafood dishes, including classics like Shrimp & Grits, Crab Cakes and a traditional seafood platter. But there are also some cutting-edge creations, such as the Sugar-Glazed Halibut, the Citrus Grilled Mahi Mahi and the Drunken Seafood Pasta that puts a new twist on the traditional shrimp scampi favorite.

For those who prefer “land food” over seafood, or who are looking to pair some turf with their surf, RipTydz serves flame-kissed steaks, jerked chicken and the house specialty Big Island Style Ribs. The Beachin' Burgers, Dockside Tacos and Sunburn Sammies (RipTydz-ese for “grilled sandwiches) allow patrons to enjoy hand-held munchies while they dance and play.

RipTydz also specializes in liquid concoctions, especially for those looking to enjoy a little day drinking during their no-rules vacation. The beach theme puts an emphasis on fresh, fruity and frozen beverages, like the Beachside Peach, the Ocean Breeze, the Drunken Monkey and the RipTydz Rush. Of course, RipTydz also offers a wide selection of beers, wines and house liquors.

Once the sun sets and the dinner crowd winds down, RipTydz kicks it back into high gear with a nighttime beach party on the top deck. Dance to the music of live bands and DJs while enjoying the cool ocean breezes for a memorable evening under the stars. There’s not a bad seat in the house, as the large pane-glass windows provide perfect views of the ocean, Pier 14 and the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk.

While RipTydz is close, guests at The Breakers Resort don’t have to leave the resort property to find great food and drinks. Papa’s Restaurant and the Rusty Reel Oceanfront Bar & Grill serve excellent traditional meals and seafood favorites, while Strong Waters Craft Cocktails & Kitchen specializes in creative cuisine and beverages. But when you’re looking to get out and explore the Myrtle Beach dining scene, be sure to check out RipTydz — and let the good times roll.
