Regular attendees of the Myrtle Beach Bike Week Spring Rally know that The Breakers Resort is a great place to serve as your personal HQ during Bike Week—not only are we located oceanfront right in the heart of Myrtle Beach, but we also offer free bike and trailer parking on a first-come, first serve basis.
“We have designated bike parking in the main garage here on the 2nd and 3rd floor,” said Jon Peels of The Breakers resort. “We will rope it off and mark it so they know it’s designated parking for both bike weeks,” he said, referring both to Myrtle Beach Bike Week in May and Atlantic Beach Bike Week Memorial Day weekend May 23 through 26, 2014.
“We also have a designated parking lot, an outdoor gravel lot at 20th Avenue and Withers Drive, right behind the main garage and just to the south of it.” The trailer lots will have 24-hour manned security, as will the main garage, through the duration of both bike week events.
Spots to park trailers and bikes are first-come, first serve, but the staff at The Breakers will do their best to accommodate as many people as possible by helping to coordinate parking so that all trailers are parked efficiently. There will be additional staff on hand to help direct traffic and guide people about where to park and guide new guests on where to go for check-in.
“We manage that pretty well, but be prepared for it to take a little time. It gets busy,” he added.
If you’re coming to Bike Week and parking a trailer, we recommend you lock up your trailer even when your bike’s not parked inside it.
“The only other recommendation we have for them is safe driving when they’re here on their bikes,” Jon said.
