Come Experience the Oceanfront Myrtle Beach Boardwalk

The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk is located in the heart of town, the Boardwalk stretches from 2nd Ave Pier to 14th Ave Pier and offers beautiful parks, breathtaking views of the beach, dining, shopping and enthralling events and attractions for all.

The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade is a far cry from the boardwalk of the 1930’s and 40’s that was destroyed by Hurricane Hazel in 1954. And with the closing of the Pavilion in 2006, Myrtle Beach was ready for a beachfront facelift and an area for locals and visitors alike to call home.  In May of 2010, after almost using 10,000 bolts, 300,000 nails, 555,000 screws, and 800,000 feet of lumber the nearly $7 million dream had its official opening and the Grand Strand has not been the same since. The Boardwalk received national acclaim when Travel and Leisure magazine rated it among the best in the US with a number 2 ranking and National Geographic was impressed as well awarding a 3rd place ranking.  The Today Show featured the Boardwalk and Promenade leaving no doubt that when you come to Myrtle Beach this is one spot you don’t want to miss.

Bring the whole family down for Hot Summer Nights 2012 (June 1-Sep29). Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday a free concert will be performed from 8 -11pm in Plyler Park by entertainers from all your music favorite genres. Rock the night away with the jams of The Mullets or the smooth sounds of Tru Sol. Everybody can dance to the Americana sounds of Bullfrog or the modern country favorites of Eastbound. Check out the Summer Concert Schedule for your favorite band.  Every Friday night  come stomp your feet, clap your hands, and sing along with the strolling Dixieland Band and make sure not to miss the fabulous fireworks on Wednesdays. Sunday nights, from 7-11pm, are for the bountiful beats of Whacker Barrel who bang out an amazing drum display that is second to none.

What could be better than Kids’ Night at the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade? The Monday night carnival will bring out the kid in everyone as the sound of laughter and music fill the ocean air. Youngsters can enjoy the thrill of the giant inflatable slide and work off some vacation excitement in the bounce houses. Face painters, stilt walkers and entertainers will be on hand to add to the magic of the moment. You won’t find any better entertainment on the beach with fun live stage shows and a rocking concert from the talented young students of Dino Capone’s School of Rock.
Make sure and visit the many attractions at Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade including Sky Wheel Myrtle Beach, the Sling Shot, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, the Fun Plaza, and the Pavilion Arcade.  Whether you are in the mood for burgers, pizza, or wings visit Boardwalk Bill’s, Peaches Corner, New York Style Pizza, Marvin’s, and the many other of the Boardwalk eateries.  There are plenty of places to cool down with your favorite adult beverage or your incredible urge for an ice cream delight.  And if ambiance, great views, and awesome food is your thing, then head on over to Pier 14 Restaurant and Lounge or Pier the House Restaurant at 2nd Avenue Pier.

With plenty of accommodations available including Driftwood at the Boardwalk, at the Gateway to the Boardwalk, your family can spend their entire vacation enjoying the sandy beaches and amenities of Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. Mom and dad can both be happy while the girls shop at the many stores, including the world famous Gay Dolphin Gift Cove while the men can go fishing off Pier 14. It’s a great place to spend the day and there is no better way to start than with a romantic and remarkable sunrise walk along the Boardwalk with that special someone in your life.  Don’t miss out on making memories here.
